Iranian Pilot Becomes the Focus of Attention
Ölüdeniz Air Games Festival started with the participations of 400 pilots coming from 40 countries. 14 year-old Soroush Teyymoori who came from Iran surprises everyone watching him. Teyymoori, one of the 4 children of a farmer family in Iran, had started paragliding at the age of 7. Teyymoori performs single flights from 1970 m Babadağ by himself.
Soroush Teyymoori who came to Ölüdeniz Air Games Festival with his father Darisb and mother Shadibahhrami became the focus of attention for tourists. Teyymoori said he started paragliding 7 years ago at the small hills of Iran and he really liked it. Teyymoori explained he was not scared of jumping at all and left many competitions with great successes. Teyymoori said: “We live in Kirmensah city of Iran. I learnt this sport flying from small hills. I had never an accident so far. I had come to Ölüdeniz air games last year as well. I really like to fly from here.”
Father Darisb Teyymoori explained he taught paragliding to all his 4 children and he flew with paragliding for 12 years himself. Teyymoori added he worked as a farmer in Iran and said: “I have 4 children with the ages of 2-12-14 and 16. I taught paragliding to all of them, except the one at 2 years old. It is a dangerous sport but I want all my children to feel this joy and excitement. I am proud of him.”
