Huge Collaboration
LyciaGroup that has signed significant collaboration contracts with Thomas Cook and TUI aimed for the sky for 2010. LyciaGroup has increased concentration in marketing after signing huge collaboration contracts and aims to reach 80.000 guests and 610.000 accommodations.
LyciaGroup Executives assessed the latest developments in 2009 and Turkish tourism with a press conference. The important collaboration with Thomas Cook, one of the biggest travel companies in Ireland and England, and TUI, one of the biggest travel companies in the world, was also announced at the press conference in which LyciaGroup CEO Burhan Silahtaroğlu indicated they started new investments to brand and make a difference in tourism sector.
Atilla Silahtaroğlu, LyciaGroup Administrative Board Member, made a speech at the conference and noted the total investments they have made in Turkish tourism sector have been 250 million Euro and they employed about 1500 people as LyciaGroup so far.
Zeynep Silahtaroğlu Baykal, Lycia Group Administrative Board Member and President of Fethiye Hotelliers Union indicated their contact with Thomas Cook was one of the biggest contracts in Mediterranean and they were to work better thanks to each tour operators. Baykal stated: “A very busy marketing schedule was started after the contracts. The display cases and offices of 800 travel agencies owned by Thomas Cook in England and Ireland were covered with the posters and billboards of LyciaGroup.”
