Ölüdeniz is to be jazzed up with the events that are to be held in October. International Ölüdeniz Air Games Festival which is to be organized on October 16-18 and Turkey Motocross and Mediterranean Enduro Championship which is to be organized in the sponsorship and host of Ölüdeniz Municipality Motocross Team are to liven up Ölüdeniz with the youth festival and concerts as well.

Turkish Stars to Enliven Air Games festival

The 10th Ölüdeniz Air Games are to be held on October 14 – 18 this year. Turkish Stars are to perform a magnificent show this year at Ölüdeniz Air Games that have become a worldwide brand. Turkish Stars are to perform a breathtaking show with 8 F11 planes.

It was announced 400 sportsmen from 40 countries are to attend this year’s organization. Sportsmen who were invited with great difficulties at the last years are to attend the festival voluntarily this year.

Kadri Tuğlu, Organizer of Ölüdeniz Air Games, stated all the traffic and sea safety precautions were taken and all the arrangements were completed despite the fact that the organization was to be held in October. Air Games Festival is to be livened up with entertainment events at night.

Kadri Tuğlu explained: “We are to hold the 10th of Air Games this year. Our organization has become worldwide and especially air sports are placed at the first three in the world. Sportsmen who were invited with great difficulties at the last years are to attend the festival voluntarily this year. It is the biggest fact that shows the value of air games. Turkish Stars are to honor our organization by attending third time this year. They are to perform a splendid show on October 17-18. It is going to be an event with 600 people.”

Tuğlu also noted Albania applied for the first time this year for the organization and added: “There is an increase in the number of sportsmen coming from USA and Canada. We expect about 90 % load factor with the start of the organization at the region. We have taken safety precautions. We can say we have completed our arrangements.”

Youth Festival to Start with Concerts

Turkish Motorcycle Federation is to held Turkey Motocross and Mediterranean Enduro Championships in Fethiye on October 16. A rock festival for 30.000 young people is to be organized for the first time this year during the championships.

Bands Bulutsuzluk Özlemi, Babazula, Pizz, Cümbüş Cemaat,  Rampage, Sokak Köpekleri, Roll Bacx are to perform at the first day of the festival, and also Teoman and Aylin Aslım are to meet with fans.

Esenköy Motocross and Youth Festival is to host Mxonfest on October 16-17-18 in 22000 m2 area. The festival is to be named the biggest motocross and youth festival of Turkey.

A camping area is to be supplied for 10.000 people by the festival committee at the forest area. Audiences younger than 17 years old will not be allowed to festival area. The entrance fee is 45 TL as a combined ticket and daily fee is 25 TL. German rock band Haggard, Turkish rockers Teoman, Aylin Aslım and Bulutsuzluk Özlemi and other rock bands are to perform at the festival in which 15 separate concerts are to be organized.

On the other hand, Turkey Motocross and Mediterranean Enduro Championships are to be held during the festival for 24 hours. The 6th of the Motocross Championship and 4th of the Mediterranean Enduro Championship is to be held. The championships have been advanced one week due to the festival. 60 sportsmen are expected to join the races. Several acrobatics shows are to be performed at the championships as well.

Turkey Motorcycle Federation Administrative Board Member and Festival Committee Director Sadık Özdemir noted all the arrangements were completed. Özdemir explained they aimed to make Fethiye the centre of motocross and people were to be full with entertainment and sports between October 16 - 18.
